These terms govern use of the site. Rules specific to the gambling account, deposits, limits and prizes are set out in the Specific Online Gaming Conditions of Use, which prevail on those subjects in case of any difference.
1. Purpose and acceptance
This document defines how the site may be accessed and used. Browsing the site means you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site.
Some parts — opening an account, buying a ticket, entering a draw — are additionally subject to the specific conditions and to the regulations that apply to each product.
2. Who may use the site
The site is intended for people aged 18 or over. Playing the online games is limited to people who live in Québec and who are physically in the province when they play.
Anyone currently under a self-exclusion, taken online or at a gaming establishment, may neither open an account nor play for the duration of that exclusion.
3. Account and password
An account is personal and cannot be transferred. One person may hold one account only; duplicate accounts are closed as soon as they are found, and bets placed on them may be cancelled.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out from your account. Customer service never asks for your password, by phone or by email. Report any use you did not authorise without delay.
4. Prohibited uses
- Providing false information, or information belonging to another person.
- Opening or using an account on behalf of somebody else.
- Concealing your actual location, including through a geolocation bypass service.
- Extracting or reproducing site content at scale by automated means.
- Attempting to reach non-public parts of the site, or to disrupt how it runs.
- Using the site for unlawful purposes, including money laundering.
A breach may lead to suspension or closure of the account, and to a report to the competent authorities.
5. Site content
Jackpot amounts, draw dates and results shown here are provided for information. If information published on the site differs from the official records of the Société des loteries du Québec, those records prevail.
A display, calculation or transmission error creates no right to a prize that has not been validated under the regulations of the product concerned.
6. Intellectual property
The text, images, graphic elements, trademarks and software presented on the site are protected. They may not be reproduced, distributed or adapted without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Links to other sites
The site may link to external resources, in particular to support organisations. Those sites are independent: their content and privacy practices are the responsibility of their operators.
8. Service availability
The site may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or technical reasons, with or without notice. An interruption occurring before the betting cut-off gives no right to compensation beyond a refund of a bet that was not recorded.
9. Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the site — in particular the loss of an expected win.
Nothing in this section limits the rights the law gives consumers in Québec.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. The version in force is the one published on this page; its update date appears at the top of the document. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec. Any dispute falls to the competent courts of the district of Montréal.
Specific Online Gaming Conditions of Use
These conditions apply to the gambling account and to playing the games offered online. They add to the Terms and Conditions and prevail over them on everything concerning the account, bets and prizes.
1. Scope
This document covers every product reachable from the account: draw lotteries, instant tickets and any other game offered online. Each product also has its own regulations, setting out the draw matrix, the prize structure and the claim conditions.
2. Eligibility
To play you must meet all four conditions below:
- be 18 years of age or older;
- live in Québec;
- be physically in the province when you play;
- not be subject to a self-exclusion or an access ban in force.
Location is checked at every session. Using a service that conceals your location is a breach and leads to closure of the account.
3. Opening an account
Opening an account requires accurate, complete information: surname, first name, date of birth, occupation, a Québec address, an email address and a phone number. You undertake to keep it up to date.
Inaccurate information may lead to bets being cancelled and any prize being withheld, until the record is corrected or the account is closed.
4. Identity validation
Identity validation comes before any real-money play. It confirms your age, your identity and your address, and checks that no exclusion applies.
Until it is complete, the account stays open but cannot be used to play. Supporting documents may be requested at any point afterwards, in particular before a large prize is paid.
5. One account per person
A person may hold one account only. Where duplicates exist, the surplus accounts are closed, bets placed on them may be cancelled and refunded, and the corresponding prizes are not paid.
6. Deposits and limits
A weekly deposit limit is mandatory. It is set between $25 and $9,999 and applies to the total of all deposits over seven consecutive days, whatever the payment method.
A decrease takes effect immediately. An increase only applies after a waiting period. No one-off exception is granted, including by customer service.
Loss limits and session time limits are also available. Details are on the Gambling limits page.
7. Bets and registration
A bet is valid once it is recorded in the central system before the cut-off time of the draw concerned. The time that counts is the system time, in Eastern time.
A bet started but not recorded — dropped connection, expired session, insufficient balance — is not valid, and the corresponding amount stays in the account.
8. Payment of prizes
Eligible prizes are credited to the account balance once the draw is officially validated.
From $25,000 up, the prize is claimed in person, with valid ID, following the procedure given at the time of the claim. The claim period is one year from the draw date; after that the prize is no longer paid.
Where the account display differs from the official records of the Société des loteries du Québec, those records determine the prize owed.
9. Withdrawals
A withdrawal is paid to a payment method in your name. It may be held while an identity check, or a check required by the applicable regulations, is completed.
10. Responsible gambling and self-exclusion
The account gives access to breaks and to self-exclusion. Self-exclusion runs from three months to five years and is irreversible for the period chosen.
A self-exclusion taken at a gaming hall or casino automatically blocks the online account, for the same period and without any step on your part.
11. Inactive accounts
If no log-in takes place for thirty-six (36) consecutive months, the account may be closed. A notice is sent to the email address on file before closure, and any remaining balance is returned to you following the procedure set out in that notice.
12. Suspension and closure
An account may be suspended or closed in case of false information, duplicate accounts, suspected fraud, a prohibited use listed in the Terms and Conditions, or a legal or regulatory requirement.
You may close your account at any time by writing to customer service. The available balance is then returned to you, subject to the usual checks.
13. Disputes
Any dispute about a bet, a draw or a prize must be raised with customer service within a reasonable time after the events. The review relies on the records of the central system, which prevail.
Customer service: 1-866-611-5686, every day from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Eastern time).
